Since 1975, Town & Country Transit (TACT) has been providing safe, affordable, and reliable transportation services to meet the needs of Armstrong County by providing access to healthcare, education, employment, public services, and shopping.
Through partnering with other community agencies, careful stewardship of public funds, and provision of efficient service, TACT will continue to improve the quality of life for its valued customers.
TACT provides fixed route bus service in the greater Kittanning and Ford City areas and shared ride service to all of Armstrong County.

The Mid-County Transit Authority dba Town and Country Transit, a public transit provider formed under the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, as amended has established the third Wednesday of each month as their regular meeting day. All meetings will be held in the conference room of the TACT office, 220 North Grant Avenue, Kittanning, PA. Starting time is 4:00 PM. The meeting dates for 2024 are as follows:

Our board of governors is comprised of community members from various municipalities. Meetings are held each month to discuss a variety of topics pertaining to public transportation.
